Campaigns that send to your Sales records, not to an export of them.
Segments are re-evaluated against live contacts at send time, and templates resolve your brand at send. Bounces, complaints, unsubscribes and STOP replies all write to one suppression list that every campaign obeys.
What Marketing does for you
Lists and segments
Static lists with manual add/remove and CSV import, plus dynamic segments defined over a parent list with a size preview. Segments are evaluated when the campaign sends, not stored as a snapshot, so nobody is mailed off a stale list.
Email and SMS campaigns
Draft, send now or schedule, cancel any time before send. Weighted A/B tests on subject and content with per-variant analytics. The scheduler claims due sends atomically, so a second API instance cannot double-send.
Templates and brand
A block editor that produces HTML and plain text together, with reusable headers, footers and CTAs from a component picker. Change the brand record — logo, colours, fonts — and apply it across every linked template in one call.
Compliance that closes the loop
One suppression list covering addresses, whole domains and phone numbers. Hard bounces and spam complaints suppress automatically, STOP opts a number out, and every email carries RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe headers.
The audience is your Sales module, not a synced shadow of it.
Marketing reads the same contact records as Sales, under the same permission model, so there is no sync to fall behind and no second copy to reconcile. A form on your site writes straight into that graph, and the campaign that goes out next week already knows about it.
- Segments re-evaluated against live Sales contacts at send time
- Web forms create or update contacts, and can open a deal
- UTM and paid click IDs kept on the record as first-touch attribution
Common Marketing questions
Not at launch. Campaign sending runs on SendGrid, using your own org-level account and your own signed-event webhook key — without that key, delivery events are rejected rather than trusted. Resend and per-org SMTP are deferred until the provider-routing design is settled. SMS is the same shape on your own Twilio account.
Not yet. Engagement is per campaign: open a campaign and you get a contact engagement tab for that send. There is no cross-campaign timeline, and the Sales contact page shows no marketing engagement today. It is a known gap rather than a deliberate boundary.
Not inside Marketing. Multi-step sequences are built in the automation engine, which has a Send Marketing Email action — so the triggers, conditions and branching come from there and are audited there. Click-, bounce- and complaint-specific triggers are still limited.
